Our expertly trained sales staff have more than 100 years of combined experience in helping customers find the perfect things for everyday wear, bridal, formal events, specialty items and just about anything women may need underneath to make them look and feel their best, or helping disguise problem areas.
Since as many as 9 out of 10 of women wear incorrectly fitted bras, the difference a professional fitting makes can be absolutely uplifting in both appearance and mood! Hard-to-fit sizes are our specialty, and we stock a wide variety of styles and types of bras – band sizes from 30 to 54, and cup sizes from AA to N. Our customers receive personal consultation, unsurpassed service, and a range of available items second to none.
For almost 70 years we’ve specialized in lingerie, and have proudly earned the loyalty of generations of repeat customers who come from all over to get our expert advice and, just as Mrs. Harp did so well, feel beautiful and special when they walk out our door.

Back in 1947, Elizabeth Harp and husband Elouis opened their first Harp’s on Chene Street in Detroit, with $500 in borrowed cash and a clear vision of where they wanted to go.
Mrs. Harp, “Betty” to her friends and “Mrs. H” to her staff, had an uncanny sense of style, an extensive background in retail, an affable, yet outspoken personality, and a natural ability and desire to help make women feel beautiful. She knew that focusing exclusively on a particular segment of the market, lingerie, and doing it better than anyone else, was a recipe for success – one she continued to evolve and improve on, six days a week, until her passing in 2010 at the age of 94. Her perpetual energy and undivided attention to the unique needs of each customer are still the basis of countless delightful stories.
After almost 70 years in business, location moves and upgrades, thousands of customers, their daughters and granddaughters, and three generations of family stewardship, Harp’s commitment to making customers feel beautiful is stronger than ever.
